What to Expect When You’re doing a Cleanse

What really happens during a cleanse? It’s more than a change in bathroom habits!
What really happens during a cleanse? It’s more than a change in bathroom habits!

It’s natural to wonder what things will be like during a cleanse. For the next 10 days, life will probably be different. You’ll be reducing your caffeine intake, eating whole, unprocessed foods, and giving your system a bit of a break from the usual. Given that, there are a few things to keep in mind:

You may feel a little sluggish
  • Reduce your caffeine intake: Most cleanse programs recommend reducing or eliminating your intake of caffeine. Because of this, you may not have the same quick energy you are used to. Caffeine can act as a laxative, and since you’re adding Detox Activation™ cleansing formula and Fiber Fusion™ PLUS daily cleansing fiber to your regimen, there’s no reason to overdo it.

If going without caffeine just isn’t an option, having one cup of black coffee or green tea (without cream and sweeteners) is okay. But really try to limit it to one cup.

Expect changes in bathroom habits

  • More frequent bowel movements: Adding fiber and gentle herbal laxative ingredients may change your “digestive rhythm” a bit. Drink plenty of water to allow the fiber to work in your system smoothly. Aside from being more frequent, bowel movements may be easier to pass and larger.
  • Fewer bowel movements: If you have fewer bowel movements than usual, consider decreasing the amount Fiber Fusion PLUS. Too much fiber, added too quickly, can bind up your digestive system. Make sure you’re getting those eight, 8-ounce glasses of water per day. If occasional constipation persists, or bowel movements are painful and disruptive, discontinue the cleanse altogether.
  • Bowel movements may not happen every day: Remember, not everyone has bowel movements every day. Small variations in your own schedule may simply be your body’s way of adjusting to the cleanse.

Expect the second week to be easier than the first

  • The dietary restrictions, supplement regimen, and changes to your system may seem a little tough at first, but by week two, you’ll probably feel used to it—and feel better because of the complete body cleanse, too.

Plan to keep that good cleanse going

  • If you’ve explored some new ground following the healthy detox diet on a cleanse, consider sticking with it. You’ll probably feel lighter and more vibrant. Keep exploring recipes, cook at home, and stay away from the refined, overly-processed foods that can leave you feeling weighed down.
  • Of course, after using Whole Body Cleanse™ complete 10-day cleansing system, your toxin burden may be lightened, but your exposure to them isn’t. It takes daily intervention to keep your body clean.† Consider staying with a daily fiber supplement, like Fiber Fusion or Fiber Delights®, dietary supplement can be used every day to give your digestive system that “freshly cleansed” feeling, and to help you flush toxins out of your body. And, keeping beneficial probiotics in as part of your daily habits is easy with Acidophilus Pearls,. You can keep that good feeling going, and make it part of a whole new you.
